The Rocket Racers are the original 10,000 NFTs . These are playable Racers in Rocket Rumble, alongside avatars from other collections. The term "Foundational" distinguishes them from the 2nd Generation Racers, which can be trained using Genesis Racers.

The Value of Foundational Rocket Racers

The value of foundational Racers increases as the player base grows through multiple in-game advantages:

Rocket Racers Collection

While Rocket Rumble integrates many major NFT collections, it also features an original collection of 10,129 Rocket Racers. These Racers come from seven different species, with the Human species alone having eight unique variants.

Rarer species tend to have stronger in-game abilities. The rarest Gold Elite Humans are highly sought after, though they are classified as a Human variant rather than a unique species. However, many Gold Elites come with enhanced gear, making them powerful competitors on the track.

Ultra-Rare: Phantom Drifters

One of the seven species, the Phantom Drifter, was airdropped to holders who owned all six base species from the original Genesis Rocket Racers collection. Only 135 exist, making them the rarest Racers. While they lack built-in armor or weapons, their speed and agility make them a force to be reckoned with on the track.

Companion Boosters

Companion Boosters were airdropped to certain players who met specific requirements in August. These Companions will have future in-game utility, offering strategic advantages such as:

  • Extra speed boosts during races

  • Absorbing impact damage from obstacles

  • Temporarily disabling an opponent’s abilities

Unlike Genesis Rocket Racers, Companions do not generate $ROCKETCOIN but provide a tactical edge in races.
